What to Expect (At Your Next Appointment)

In Person Appointments:

Please review our COVID-19 policy prior to arriving to your scheduled appointment.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to register for your appointment.

Please bring the following items to your appointment:

  • Valid Health Card

  • Family doctor information

  • List of current medications and supplements

  • Phone number/fax number to your preferred pharmacy

  • If you have had previous neurological imaging or testing done (CT/MRI/EEG/EMG, etc.), please bring any CD or reports available

  • Headache diary (if applicable)

Based on your medical situation, you may be asked to fill out a number of forms once you arrive at the clinic. These forms are used to gather helpful patient information and design a treatment plan that is tailored to individual patient needs.

Appointment lengths are 60-90 minutes for new patients, and follow up appointment lengths will vary based on complexity.  While we do our best to ensure appointments are on time, the clinic may be running late if an unexpected patient issue arises. As the clinic is fully booked, we may not be able to accommodate patients who arrive more than 15 minutes late. If we are unable to accommodate you due to a late arrival, your appointment will be rescheduled.

Unless extenuating circumstances arise, we require two business days for appointment cancellation or rescheduling. Any appointment cancellation or rescheduling requests made within two business days of the original appointment time may be considered a “missed appointment” and subject to cancellation fees.

Ongoing prescription renewals must be obtained from your family physician.

For services not covered by OHIP or private health insurance, fees may apply.

Virtual Appointments:

Your appointment may be a virtual visit using the telephone or secured video conferencing. Learn how to set-up a video visit.

You will receive a call from us if there are any changes to your appointment.

Your physician will call you directly. We try our best to call at the designated appointment time. However, we ask all patients to be available slightly before and after the appointment time in case your physician is running a little behind schedule.

Please have the following available at your Virtual Appointment:

  • Valid Health Card

  • Family doctor information

  • List of current medications and supplements

  • Phone Number/Fax Number for the preferred pharmacy

  • Headache diary (if applicable)

During your appointment, you and your physician will discuss your current health status, answer questions, and discuss next steps of treatment. â€‹
